Hey everyone! My name is Steve Boland, and I just finished my sophomore year at Duke University. I am excited for my trip to Durban, South Africa through DukeEngage, where I will be working with the Durban South Skills Development organization, a local disabilities clinic.
I was born in Southern California, but have since lived in New York City and now call Charlotte, NC home. I love sports, and am a huge Miami Dolphins fan. Outside of Duke, I love spending time at home with my family, and visiting high school friends at their respective colleges throughout the United States.
This will be my furthest trip from home, and first time traveling to South Africa. I am excited for what this experience will bring!
