Day 4!

Woo! Today was a busy day! First we went to a Hindu Temple. After that we went to a traditional market where people usually come to buy very cheap groceries and other items. Then, we went to talk to people from iTRUMP (which has nothing to do with our President). In that meeting we learned about how the city of Durban has used architecture to prevent crime, and others ways to turn a not-so-safe place into a much safer one. After, NeYo from iTRUMP showed us around. He took us to a traditional medical market which sold things that “healed” people. These things include love potions and penis enhancement creams. The things that could be bought from this market ranged from herbs to cure a cough, to a fish that could paralyze someone, to a pigeon with it’s heart ripped out for unknown reasons. Last off, to finish an exciting day, we had lunch at the Durban Botanical Garden with our tour guide, Collin. We had bunny chow! Don’t worry, it DOES NOT involve bunnies AT ALL.
